I would like to taxi persons with my pedicab or golf cart during the Strawberry Festival. Where do I start?
A pedicab or golf cart must complete inspection requirements prior to using at the Festival.
Beginning in 2024, the City will approve a total of no more than 30 pedicabs and low-speed vehicles (golf carts) to service Strawberry Festival customers (NO EXCEPTIONS).
For requirements and forms, please contact the Business Tax office at 813-659-4200 ext. 4155 or email businesstax@plantcitygov.com. After completing and reviewing all the requirements and forms, contact the Plant City Police Department at pedicab@plantcitypolice.com to schedule an appointment time for the inspection, background check and other requirements noted on the forms.
Once the Police Department has approved, you will need to report to City Hall at 302 W. Reynolds Street, complete your Business Tax Application, and make payment.
