Does the City offer assistance with Wildlife Animals?

As a service to the Plant City community.  The City of Plant City (City) offers information and assistance, as needed, if injured wildlife is encountered.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitators List contains contact information for wildlife care and rescue organizations and animal hospitals.

The FWC list also provides information for City staff.  You may contact City staff from 8 AM-5 PM, Monday-Friday, Water Resource Management Division, 813-659-4298, Ext. 4902.  Please note.  City resources are limited.  City staff may be unable to offer immediate assistance in some situations.  In these cases, City staff will use the FWC list to locate an FWC-licensed rehabilitator in the area.

If the animal is a domestic or feral animal, such as a dog, cat or horse, please contact the nearest Humane Society, Animal Services Office or Animal Control Agency.
